Wildlife Detection & Deterrence

NSF SBIR Phase I–funded technology that integrates AI-enabled cameras to detect, classify, and track wildlife species in real time — enabling humane, adaptive coexistence between farming communities and local ecosystems. Rather than relying on reactive fencing or chemical deterrents, AI CoExist learns animal behaviour patterns and deploys species-specific responses that reduce crop damage without harming the animals involved.

AI-enabled Vision Systems Integrates AI cameras to detect, classify, and track deer, raccoons, and other wildlife in real time — identifying species before triggering any response.
Adaptive Deterrence Engine Edge-based learning activates beamformed acoustic deterrents for species-specific targeting, ensuring deterrence is proportional and targeted.
Predictive Reinforcement Loop Reinforcement learning optimizes deterrence timing and intensity, reducing animal habituation over time and maintaining long-term effectiveness.
Detect–Deter–Adapt Framework Anticipates animal re-entry patterns using historical behavioural data for adaptive, humane response strategies that evolve with the ecosystem.

An AI-driven system combining satellite, UAV, and IoT data to detect agricultural damage, quantify crop loss, and support recovery planning following natural disasters. As climate-related events increase in frequency and severity, this platform gives farmers, insurers, and government agencies a rapid, data-grounded picture of impact — replacing slow manual surveys with near-real-time spatial intelligence.

Rapid Damage Detection Combines satellite imagery, UAV overflights, and ground IoT sensor data to identify flood, drought, or storm impacts in near-real-time across large agricultural areas.
Crop Loss Quantification Vegetation indices and AI yield models estimate biomass reduction and translate physical damage into financial loss estimates that can support insurance claims.
Recovery Planning Ranks priority zones by damage severity and provides adaptive recommendations for replanting, soil remediation, and resource allocation.
Policy & Resilience Support Generates standardized reports for governments and insurers, plus long-range predictive models derived from historical disaster data to strengthen future resilience.
